The name giver of our restaurant, Gabriele Münter, who was tenderly called ELLA by her partner Wassily Kandinsky, stands for aesthetics, creativity and the courage to push forward her own ideas.

These three characteristics are also the basis of our gastronomy. We take the best ingredients that the Munich region and its surroundings have to offer as the basis of our gastronomic vision.

Small agricultural businesses and suppliers from the region who supply us with their high-quality products play an essential role for us in order to offer you as our guest the best quality. Influenced by years of experience in the gastronomy, operator Michael Hausberger gives new refinement to traditional dishes. Unusual combinations of revised regional classics with Italian influences fascinate him and always inspire him to new creations.

In ELLA we combine a look into the past of the Lenbachhaus with the historical view of food and drink.

We offer you culinary delicacies from our own production such as daily fresh and handmade high-quality pasta.
